Data and Tissue Bank Protocol
The UF Health Precision Medicine Program is conducting an ongoing research study to test the feasibility of preemptive genotyping and to facilitate the gradual expansion of genomic medicine at UF Health. If patients choose to participate in the study, the program will collect and screen their blood samples for a total of 128 genetic variations that are suspected of influencing how the body responds to medications. Patients have the option to allow UF Health to securely store their results and/or any leftover blood samples for future use in clinical care through the electronic medical record system and/or for future use in research through the UF Health Integrated Data Repository and UF Clinical and Translational Science Institute Biorepository. Patients also have the opportunity to consent to be recontacted about future research studies.
